Zach Cann

Zach Cann

sent out by Grace Bible Church to plant churches among the Ndo people

As many of you are aware, Cassidy left us for two days last week to go to her first prenatal appointment. Here are a few of the things we did to pass the time…

10. Eat Leftovers on Disposable Plates

Tortilla soup for three nights in a row. No cooking and no clean up. Am I right?

9. Eat Junk Food

This was my culinary contribution to meals

8. Play with imaginary weapons

Legos!! The only things we made were bombs and guns… such boys.

7. Play with Real Weapons

We practiced using knives. (All the kids here are doing it.)

We did some bow and arrow shooting practice.

Our target was the stump of a banana tree.

Jude takes a shot with our homemade rubber band gun.

Plastic cups made for great target practice.

6. Build cardboard airplanes

Step one: draw some control panels complete with dials, buttons, and levers.

Step two: tape the controls to the inside of a cardboard box. End result: hours of fun.

5. Hunt for bugs

This guy. Not only does he have some awesome pinchers, but unbeknownst to us, he also has wings. Scared. Us. To. Death.

4. Live on the edge

Sometimes we lived on the edge literally…

…sometimes just metaphorically.

3. Read

My favorite book that I read with them was a kid’s version of “Around the World in 80 Days.” Their favorite was the well-known classic “Dragons Love Tacos.”

2. Movie Night! (With more junk food!)

The Lego Movie. Complete with popcorn and hot chocolate. And Oliver with his ridiculous pink straw that he loves.

1. Wait for Mom to come back and rescue us

Here she comes.

Go get her!

Good to be back together!
